We’re proud to share some exciting news from SA Organics: Vanessa has been appointed as a Director of Organic Operators Australia (OOA), the independent peak body representing certified organic operators across Australia.
For us, this appointment is much more than a new title. It’s an opportunity to contribute at an industry level to something that has always been at the heart of what we do — supporting Australian organics and the people who grow, produce and bring certified organic products to Australian families.
What is Organic Operators Australia?
Organic Operators Australia represents the interests of certified organic operators across the country, providing a united voice for growers, producers and businesses working within the organic sector.
As an independent industry peak body, OOA advocates on behalf of organic operators and works to strengthen the integrity, credibility and future of Australian organics.
Its role is particularly important as the industry continues to grow. Strong representation helps ensure the experiences and needs of the people working within organics are heard, while also supporting consumer confidence in certified organic products.
Bringing hands-on industry experience to the Board
At SA Organics, we experience the organic supply chain every day — working with growers and suppliers, sourcing certified organic produce and getting it into the hands of our customers.
That practical experience brings an important perspective to industry conversations.
Vanessa is looking forward to contributing that experience as an OOA Director, while working alongside fellow Board members and organic operators from across Australia.
