BONUS RECIPE!!! Rustic Apple & Banana Oat Crumble

A comforting, sweet way to use up the fruit box. Delicious served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or cold yogurt.

  • Produce Used: Apples (3-4), Bananas (2-3).
  • Pantry Staples: Rolled oats, flour (plain or wholemeal), brown sugar, butter (or coconut oil), cinnamon.

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C.
  2. Peel and chop Apples into chunks. Slice Bananas thickly. Toss them together in a baking dish with a sprinkle of sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Make the Topping: In a bowl, combine 1 cup of oats, 1/2 cup of flour, and 1/2 cup of brown sugar. Rub in 100g of cold butter with your fingertips until the mixture looks like chunky breadcrumbs.
  4. Sprinkle the topping generously over the fruit.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the fruit is bubbling and the top is golden brown.
  6. Serve warm in bowls.
