Caramelised Banana & Apple French Toast Bake

Box Ingredients

  • 2 apples
  • 2 bananas

Pantry Staples

  • 1 loaf day-old bread or brioche
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar or honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Butter

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Grease a baking dish.
  3. Tear bread into chunks and spread into the dish.
  4. Slice apples and bananas and scatter through the bread.
  5. In a bowl whisk together: (eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla sugar or honey)
  6. Pour mixture evenly over bread.
  7. Dot top with a little butter.
  8. Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and set.
  9. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

  • Ice cream
