Caramelised Banana & Apple French Toast Bake

Pantry Staples
- 1 loaf day-old bread or brioche
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 tbsp brown sugar or honey
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Butter
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Grease a baking dish.
- Tear bread into chunks and spread into the dish.
- Slice apples and bananas and scatter through the bread.
- In a bowl whisk together: (eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla sugar or honey)
- Pour mixture evenly over bread.
- Dot top with a little butter.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and set.
- Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
