Serves: 2 | Cooking Time: 10 minutes

  • 2 large apples, peeled and chopped
  • 2 bananas, frozen (reserve some slices for topping)
  • 300g grapes (reserve some for topping)
  • Organic yoghurt ½ cup - Greek or natural
  • ¼ cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • Toppings: granola, coconut flakes, chia seeds, nuts, extra fruit

  • Peel and chop apples. If you want to avoid browning, use apples that have been chilled or add a squeeze of lemon.
  • Freeze banana chunks at least 2 hours ahead (or overnight) for a thick, ice-cream-like texture. Reserve some grapes and banana slices for topping. Set aside.
  • In a high-speed blender, combine chopped apples, frozen banana, half the grapes, yoghurt, milk, and cinnamon.
  • Blend on high until very thick and smooth. The mixture should be thicker than a regular smoothie, almost like soft-serve ice cream.
  • If too thick, add milk one tablespoon at a time. If too thin, add more frozen bananas or a handful of ice cubes.
  • Taste and add honey or maple syrup if you want it sweeter (the fruit is naturally sweet!). Divide between two bowls.
  • Now the fun part - toppings! Arrange reserved grapes and banana slices on top. Add granola for crunch.
  • Sprinkle chia seeds, coconut flakes, sliced almonds, or pumpkin seeds. Drizzle with extra honey if desired. Serve immediately with a spoon.

Get creative with toppings! Add muesli, honey, cacao nibs, or nut butter drizzle.

Make it Thicker: Use less liquid, more frozen fruit, or add frozen yoghurt cubes.

Make it Protein-Packed: Add a scoop of protein powder or a tablespoon of peanut butter.

Meal Prep: Pre-portion frozen fruit into bags for quick morning smoothie bowls.
