GUIDE TO ORDERING ORGANICBOX - UPDATED 10/05/2025
1. Orders close 12pm SUNDAY nights. We are flexible so if you miss the cut off we can still take orders until around 9am Monday mornings at the latest. If our delivery runs are full and we are unable to deliver your order in the same week, your order will be changed to "Back Ordered" which means that we will have to send your order out the following week on your next scheduled delivery day
2. Swaps - if you are ordering our 'pre-set' boxes that swaps be kept to one to two items only, unless there is allergies or health issues. With the range of boxes we provide we hope that there would be one suited to your needs. If not there is now the option to create your own box, at different price points - just list what you want in it at the comments at checkout. We now ask that all box selections are EMAILED ONLY to changes@organicbox.com.au . This is so we don't miss anyone (previously we were getting messages on Facebook, email and sms, which makes it hard to keep track of now we are so busy).
3. Please let us know if there is any produce you never want sent out in your box - its called your personal "never list" - there is a section for this when you create your account or just add it in the comments section at checkout. Please word it as follows:
Please never send me this produce "Never List" = xxxxxxx
Suitable Substitutes are = xxxxxx (please offer a few options of food you would)
4. We are using foam boxes again to provide extra care when delivering your fresh produce. The foam boxes act as an esky, and have been tested to ensure they keep the produce cold and within the safe food temperature guidelines. If you would prefer a cardboard box please add one to your order and we will send in cardboard. We now use biodegradable bags to pack produce and we ask that your empty box, and plastic liner are left out for collection next order as they are very expensive to purchase and we do not pass on the cost. We reuse them as long as possible, with fresh liners every order. The liners are reused on the farm for harvesting or scraps. AGAIN, PLEASE ALWAYS leave your empty boxes out for return and we drop off your full box.
5. We can send ice packs with meat orders and dairy orders in summer. Please add them to your order or send us a note in the comments if you would like one. Please return the ice packs with your empty box each order.
6. SUBSCRIPTION ORDERS: Due to the restrictions of the Shopify site, we are no longer able to discount the delivery fee. We have therefore set up the subscription offer to discount the box. Our current delivery fee is $12.95, so we discount the box by $7.95. If you order a $75 box plus $12.95 delivery fee = $87.95 less $7.95 = $80. Same applies for all other boxes, which are also discounted by $7.95. A bit of a pain but it works. If you wish to make up your own orders each week, please email us as admin@organicbox.com.au and we will issue a discount code which will be able to give you the regular order discount in line with our subscription offer. You are not locked in. If you need to take a break, you have produce left over from the week before or if you are going on holidays let us know and we will put your deilvery on hold. Just email us at changes@organicbox.com.au
7. You don't need to order one of our set boxes, you can also always just shop to order items and quantities to suit your family needs. Our website caters to individual orders. Minimum is $40.
8. No lock in contracts. Sign up for a regular order and it doesn't work for you, cancel easily at any time.
9. 100% perfect produce guarantee. If ever you get any produce you are not happy with we will replace it free the following week.
10. All of our meat lines are preservative free, and most except the schnitzel and rissoles are gluten free. To guarantee freshness and safe food handling, all meat products are delivered frozen. The pack weights are an average, and we endeavour to advertise pack weights as close as possible to actual weights. Most lines are tray packed for 2 unless stated otherwise. As we only process small numbers at a time, some lines may be unavailable from time to time. Please note: Chicken is delivered to us fresh, we snap freeze it and black out the use by date which is only relevant to FRESH chicken. Frozen chicken has a 6 month use by date, and our chicken never stays around that long. We usually get chicken orders every 2-3 weeks.
11. OrganicBox delivers in-house to SA Local areas as listed below. You are guaranteed that your food delivery is handled with care, is delivered in refrigerated vehicles.

Delivery fee for non-regular customers is $12.95 metro, or $16.95 down south and out north.
We offer promotions through the year that may have the discounted delivery options or bonus produce offers.
Order cut off is Sunday nights at midnight. Although we are flexible and work to send out all orders submitted to us by 9am Mondays. We need box swaps, substitutions and order holds emailed to us before 9am Monday's. Just email us at changes@organicbox.com.au .

POSTAL ORDERS - As we are located outside the city, we do not go to the Post Office every day. Postal orders will be sent weekly on a Friday. If you have not received your order within 10-15 days please contact us to follow up.

12. PUBLIC HOLIDAY'S: We now aim to not let Public Holiday's disrupt our delivery days. So unless we send a newsletter telling you delivery days have changed, or post it on FaceBook we will stick to normal delivery days. The only exception may be Easter. We are always closed the week between Christmas and New Years Day. Regardless of holidays, our orders will always close Sunday night at 12pm.
Finally, if you are not sure of something then please get in touch either by email, our live Chat option on the website (we will get back to you soon) or text. We apologise if we are hard to catch. We are running a working farm so if we are not inside doing admin, or packing or delivering orders, we will be out on the farm working.
We are a small family business, with 3 employees who work casual or part-time.
