Organicbox is the result of a passion for organics and health, wanting to make a difference in the world now, and the world we leave for future generations. It was created to provide a unique service for Adelaide families who are looking to have easy, convenient access to healthy, nutritious certified organic produce and products.
Our range of Organic boxes is based around seasonal produce, availability and quality. We aim to maintain a base of standard items but as in nature things change quickly so please keep an eye on the box contents to be kept up to date on what is currently available. We now also have the build your own box option with a minimum order of $30.
The range is growing weekly as more dry goods are added. We have the Share Cow program that connects you with a local dairy where you can buy shares in a cow and use the milk from your own cow - FRESH and NATURAL. We also now have the locally farmed Kenton Creek Grass Fed Hormone Free Black Angus beef (who are in the process of organic certification, but have been farming organically for well over 10 years now) and I hope soon to introduce certified organic chicken, lamb and possibly pork.
Organicbox will strive to only pack the best available produce. It is packed in a cold room so the produce remains fresh and cold until it reaches your door. Until my ACO Retail Certification has been completed I will send an email list of the growers and certification numbers so there is no question about what produce is in your box and where it was sourced from. My audit for certification was completed on Monday 23rd August 2010 and I expect to have my certificate in the next two weeks after which you are 100% guaranteed that what is on my list is what is sent out - the auditing process is very stringent and every single piece of fruit must be accounted for. I am still happy to send out the grower and certification list to anyone who requests it.
I pack produce from SA growers always as first choice, Vic border growers and other states as needed eg bananas have to come from Qld. For a guide spinach, beetroot, leeks, silverbeet, lettuce, celery, spring onions, apples, eggplant, snow peas, cucumbers, tomatoes, garlic, herbs, capsicums, mandarins, oranges are all SA grown. Currently the carrots, potatoes plus a few more lines are coming from Vic border growers. I am on the committee of OBDA (Organic and Bio Dynamic Alliance SA) which is a group of growers, retailers and other parties who are committed to promoting and growing the profile of certified organic in SA. This connection provides me with the ability to have input into the local organic industry, gain knowledge and learn news directly from the farmers themselves.

I have been involved with an organic home business for nearly 4 years, and prior to that as been intensely researching organics, ingredients and natural health for well over 12 years. The choice for going organic was an easy one for me and my family, knowing that organic produce is healthier, more nutritious, feeds the body and cells with all the vitamins and minerals it needs in the correct form is something that can not be overlooked in our current times of increased disease and illness This is so important as man-made supplements, e.g vitamins and minerals are toxic to the body. Nature gives us exactly what the body needs in the correct form and in the correct amounts. Organics also supports the environment, is better for the earth, water quality, plants and animals and supports ethical, conscious, responsible farmers.
